After a suspect in the underlying burglary case was arrested in Livermore, police in San Jose are hoping the community can help them locate a stolen French bulldog named Lady, the department said last week.

Lady was taken during a burglary in May at a woman’s home.

Multiple suspects forced entry into her house and stole thousands of dollars in cash, miscellaneous items and the family dog, Lady.

Detectives ultimately identified Christopher Jimenez as a suspect in the case and obtained a warrant for his arrest. He was apprehended in June by the Livermore Police Department and handed over to police in San Jose.

Despite progress made in the case, Lady has still not been located. The San Jose Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the victim’s dog. Lady is described as a gray female French bulldog with a visible pink scar under her chin. They have released a photo of the dog.

Anyone with information about Lady’s whereabouts is asked to contact Detective Arredondo and/or Detective Soria of the San Jose Police Department Burglary and Assaults Units via email 5129@sanjoseca.gov and/or 4793@sanjoseca.gov, or via phone at 408-277-4401 or 408-277-4161.
