An 18-year-old driver from San Ramon was killed in a solo car crash in Livermore early Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was first reported at 2:38 a.m. Monday (Aug. 24) along North Livermore Avenue at the Interstate 580 underpass, according to Officer Tyler Hahn of CHP’s Dublin office. 

The initial investigation indicates the teen was driving a 2017 Nissan Leaf southbound on North Livermore Avenue when the car left the roadway and hit a concrete pillar, according to Hahn. 

The driver – whose name has not yet been released publicly – was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The circumstances remain under CHP investigation, and officers hope to locate witnesses, according to Hahn. Anyone with information about what transpired can contact CHP-Dublin at 925-828-0466.
