A 13-year-old boy was arrested following an armed robbery of another juvenile in Livermore, the city’s police department said.
The August incident occurred at a business on North Vasco Road, where the Livermore Police Department responded at about 4 p.m. Aug. 22 to a report of a juvenile with a gun, according to police.
While LPD officials did not disclose the exact location of the incident to Livermore Vine, it purportedly took place at a Starbucks in the area, according to East Bay Times, which first reported the story.
Upon investigation, LPD found that the boy had allegedly stolen the property of another juvenile and displayed a firearm during the incident.
“A search warrant was obtained for the suspect’s residence, where officers located evidence of the crime, along with an unregistered loaded firearm in the family home,” LPD officials told Livermore Vine.
The suspect was transported to juvenile hall and the case has been forwarded to the Alameda County Juvenile Probation Department for review and charging, LPD officials said.
As a minor, the suspect’s name was not released by police.
The Alameda County Juvenile Probation Department did not respond for comment as of Wednesday evening.
