Livermore officers arrested an Oakland man earlier this week for allegedly possessing more than five ounces of methamphetamine, according to police.
At approximately 12:30 a.m. Monday, police pulled a vehicle over on Fallon Road for a rear lighting equipment violation. Police spoke to the 51-year-old driver and learned he had an expired license.
While speaking with him, police alleged they saw what they believed was loose methamphetamine on the center console.
Police searched his vehicle and allegedly found more meth, including five ounces in a large freezer bag, a pipe, packaging, and more than $1,400 in cash.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of transporting a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of unlawful paraphernalia.
