Livermore officers recently arrested a man for possessing multiple handguns while having a warrant for weapons possession, police said Monday.
Police performed a traffic stop around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday on a Ford Ranger for allegedly speeding on Patterson Pass Road.
A records check on the driver found he had an active warrant for a weapons charge. Police searched the vehicle and allegedly found multiple handguns, including one that was loaded.
Officers arrested 46-year-old David Estes of Stockton on suspicion of several weapons violations and the warrant. He was transported to Santa Rita Jail.
