Livermore’s annual Holiday Sights and Sounds Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony arrives in downtown – rain or shine – this Saturday evening. The festivities will begin with the procession down First Street at 6 p.m., followed by the tree lighting.
Each year, the Livermore Pleasanton Fire Department escorts Santa to the parade and they lead the community in a countdown to the tree lighting. This year, Santa will be welcomed onto the stage by a children’s choir from Livermore schools for a sing-a-long, according to event organizers.
The Holiday Sights and Sounds Parade is part of Livermore Downtown Inc’s two-day lineup of events to kick off December. Holiday Village in the Park is the day before on Friday (Dec. 5) from 4-8 p.m. It’s a magical evening featuring local vendors and makers at Carnegie Park.
