The Holiday Village at Carnegie Park took place on Dec. 1, followed by the Holiday Sights and Sounds Parade and community tree lighting the next day.

Calling this year's event "a huge success," LDI estimated about 25,000 people attended the parade and tree lighting ceremony.

Las Positas College President Dyrell Foster served as parade grand marshal.

The procession included more than 1,500 participants, including the Livermore Rodeo, two marching bands, three entries representing first responders, 14 units representing local businesses and 41 units representing local nonprofits, children’s organizations, schools and animal organizations.

The event, which takes place rain or shine each year, was supported by over 60 volunteers including members of the National Charity League Livermore Chapter, Livermore High School honor students, Livermore Boy Scout Troop 999, Granada High School Concert Choir and other Livermore community members.

Sponsors for the two-day events included the city of Livermore, Marcel Orthodontics, Joya Yoga, Team Martial Arts, Tag Real Estate Team, Legacy at Livermore, Petals and Pops, Denise Faenzi-Williams of Remax/Accord and A Cut Above Catering.
