Livermore police want you to help them stuff a police car with school supplies.

Police will hold a Stuff the Cruiser event Aug. 12-13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in front of Office Max, CVS, Big Lots, and Walmart in Livermore, collecting supplies for families in need with children going to school in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District.

Police say they especially need donations for older students (grades 5-12) including dividers, mechanical pencils, flash drives, highlighters, calculators, backpacks, rulers, binder paper, scissors, blue pens, black pens, markers, notebooks, staplers, graphic paper, and index cards.

No cash donations will be accepted. People can also drop off donations at the police department before Aug. 16.

The Livermore police station is at 1110 S. Livermore Ave.
