Livermore Vine is postponing its virtual Town Hall Q&A with newly-elected Livermore council members that was initially set for Monday (Dec. 5).
The event is being reworked into a Town Hall concerning the timely and important topic of housing and the state laws that affect local control over development.
The urgency comes as municipalities around the state are navigating Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA) numbers, Housing Element adoption deadlines and the increasing loss of ability to control building of housing.
City staff members from Tri-Valley communities have been asked to discuss the parameters established by the state concerning housing and the consequences of non-compliance.
