Across the city of Livermore, over 1,000 students celebrated their graduation last week to audiences of their families and friends.

Kicking off the lineup of ceremonies, Vineyard Alternative School students flipped their tassels on Wednesday (May 27) at the Del Valle Continuation High School campus. A few hours later, Del Valle students followed suit in celebration of completing high school.

Wrapping up the week, Granada High School and Livermore High School seniors gathered Friday evening (May 29) for their commencement ceremony at each campus’ football field.

Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District officials gave a shout-out on social media to the top scholars at the comprehensive schools: GHS Valedictorian Peter Sheinis, LHS Valedictorians Kavin Karunagaran and Amber Yu and LHS Salutatorian Matthew Nam.

“The wait is over, and the big moment is finally here!” district officials wrote on social media. “As you turn the page to your next chapter, whether you’re heading off to college, stepping into the workforce, enlisting in the military, or exploring new passions, know that your future is limitless.”
