Dublin ranks No. 1
Dublin was recently named as the Best Place to Live in California by the U.S. News & World Report, beating over 160 other ranked cities statewide.
Dublin earned the top recognition for scoring high across four categories: quality of life, value, job market and desirability.
According to a weekly newsletter from the city earlier this month, this recognition “speaks to what makes Dublin special, from great schools and thriving businesses to safe neighborhoods and a strong, connected community”.
Goodguys car show
Over 3,000 hot rods, muscle cars, classics and trucks from across the country will be on display at the Alameda County Fairgrounds this weekend for the Goodguys 39th West Coast Nationals.

Hosted by the Goodguys Rod & Custom Association, the three-day event will feature autocross racing, an “earth-shaking Nitro Thunderfest”, live music, a massive swap meet and vendors. Attendees will also be able to see which rides take home the top awards of the weekend
The event runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, visit alamedacountyfair.com.
Night Markets
Dublin’s monthly Night Market series will be returning to the city starting this Friday (Aug. 21).
Located at a closed-off section of St. Patrick Way near downtown Dublin, the market will feature all types of vendors and live music. After Friday, the market will return three more times: on Sept. 25, Oct. 23 and Nov. 13.
All four events will take place from 5-9 p.m. Street parking will be limited so visitors are encouraged to take public transportation, rideshares or walk to the event, if possible.
‘A Stroll in Sunol’
The Sunol Business Guild is hosting a wine-tasting event this Saturday (Aug. 22) at the Sunol Depot Garden, which is located just down the street from the Sunol Glen School.
Dubbed “A Stroll in Sunol: Pours, Picnics, & Paws”, the free, all-ages event will allow attendees to explore the “beauty and charm of Sunol” as they stroll through the park during an afternoon filled with local wine, live music, artisan vendors and family-friendly games.
There will also be a dog show and contest, according to the event description.
