Incumbent Ben Barrientos appears on track to retain his District 2 seat on the Livermore City Council, with early election night results putting him about 1,400 votes ahead of challenger Narayan Tadimeti.
As of 12:30 a.m. Nov. 4, Barrientos had received 69.36% (2,671) of the vote while Tadimeti, a physician, stood at 30.64% (1,180). The winner will represent northeast Livermore through December 2030 on the four-person dais.
District 2 was the only contested council race on the Nov. 3 ballot.
Voter turnout in the county was at about 31% as of early Wednesday morning, with 306,475 ballots cast, according to the Alameda County Registrar of Voters. That number is expected to rise significantly as in-person votes and mail-in ballots are tallied in the coming days.
Livermore Area Recreation and Park District
Incumbents Philip Pierpont and Maryalice Faltings and newcomer Larry Bird hold the top spots in the seven-person race for three seats on the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District board.
Pierpont has received 21.58% (9,782) of the vote, followed by Bird with 17.53% (7,945) and Faltings with 17.48% (7,925). Congressional District 14
Alameda County voters are backing incumbent Aisha Wahab in the race for Congressional District 14. As of early Wednesday morning, Wahab had 56.8% (66,923) while her opponent, Melissa Hernandez, had 43.2% (50,891).
District 14 includes Livermore, Pleasanton and part of Dublin.

During the Aug. 18 special runoff election, Wahab won the District 14 seat with about 53% of the vote against Hernandez. She took over for Eric Swalwell, who resigned amid multiple allegations of sexual abuse.
Wahab is a former state senator and Hayward City Councilmember. Hernandez is the BART board president and healthcare director for Alameda County Supervisors District 1 under Supervisor David Haubert. She is a former Dublin mayor.
