The Creek Fire in greater Sunol was fully contained on Friday evening, according to Cal Fire.
The 744-acre fire started the previous Friday, July 26, north of the Calaveras Reservoir off Welch Creek Road and Calaveras Road.
The size of the fire expanded quickly in the first few days but was stopped from growing any larger by July 29.
Evacuation orders for Zone ALC-E127 were downgraded to warnings on July 29, which were lifted by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office on Aug. 1.
No injuries were reported and no structures were damaged. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
