The Firehouse Arts Center in Pleasanton will be getting into the swing of the holiday season when it welcomes back rock 'n' roll pianist Jared Freiburg for a new Christmas concert later this month.

Freiburg, who played the role of Jerry Lee Lewis in the world tour of the musical "Million Dollar Quartet", will perform an energetic holiday show, "A Rockin' Holiday Revue', on Dec. 22, accompanied by The Vagabonds. The concert will feature classics such as "White Christmas", "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree", "Run Run Rudolph" and "Boogie Woogie Santa Claus".

"Jared's high-energy performances are filled with joy and excitement as he journeys through the golden age of American music with an electric lineup of favorite rock 'n' roll, blues, country and jazz hits from the 1950s — serving up a healthy helping of memorable tunes by artists ranging from Chuck Berry to Sinatra to Jerry Lee Lewis, and more," Firehouse officials said.

Freiburg made his Pleasanton debut at the Firehouse during the 2021 summer concert series.

After portraying notorious rock singer and pianist Lewis for six years, Freiburg returned to the role for a spinoff show — "Million Dollar Quartet Christmas" — by the same creators last year. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer whom Freiburg embodied for years on the stage died in October at age 87.

"A Rockin' Holiday Revue" with Jared Freiburg and The Vagabonds is set for 7:30 p.m. Dec. 22 at the Firehouse Arts Center in downtown Pleasanton. For tickets and more information, visit www.firehousearts.org.
