Rotarian Foundation of Livermore offers grant opportunity for local nonprofits

Applications will be accepted through Dec. 8
Rotary 1

The Rotarian Foundation of Livermore (RFL) invites community nonprofit organizations to apply for a grant to support efforts to create opportunities for young people, promote community service, or improve the quality of life for the Livermore Valley. Since 1999, the foundation has awarded over $1.3 million in grants to support our community.

Applications for the 2021-22 Grants are available now on the RFL website and will be accepted through Dec. 8. Please visit for complete information. Grants will be awarded in April 2022.

Over the years, the foundation has supported projects that have the greatest impact per dollar spent. We encourage applications for awards up to $5,000.

As a public charity, the foundation marshals contributions, fundraisers, corporate sponsorship, bequests and professionally managed investments to support charitable organizations already in our community as well as to develop exciting new programs. The foundation has grown into a $2 million-plus sustainable enterprise that promotes the common good and nurtures the community.

In 2020, RFL awarded $76,824 in grants to 14 community organizations plus $10,000 in emergency grants. In 2021, the foundation awarded $81,500 to 22 organizations and collaborated with the Livermore Valley Education Foundation (LVEF) to purchase Chromebooks for students in the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District.
