A man died after being stabbed at an apartment complex in Pleasanton on Monday morning, and city police are currently looking for two suspects who fled the scene.

Pleasanton police Lt. Erik Silacci stated in a press release that at 10:31 a.m., a man died after he was stabbed during an attempted robbery in an apartment complex in the 5700 block of Owens Drive. The victim's identity has not yet been released publicly.

"A witness reported two male suspects, wearing ski masks, were last seen running from the apartment. Both suspects are currently outstanding," Silacci stated.

The lieutenant also said it appeared to be an isolated incident and that "there is no public threat at this time."

PPD is asking the public to help locate the two suspects and that if anyone has information about the homicide, to call the departments tip line at 925-931-5107.

This marks the second homicide in Pleasanton in less than two weeks, following the fatal shooting of Home Depot loss prevention employee Blake Mohs during a theft at the Johnson Drive store on the afternoon of April 18.
