Livermore police found two shell casings near the parking lot at Livermore Downs Park Friday night after receiving numerous calls about shots being heard in the area, according to police spokesperson Joanna Johnson.

Johnson said that the dispatch center started receiving calls around 10:40 p.m. on Oct. 29 from residents in the neighborhood of the park located at 2100 Paseo Laguna Seco.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the shell casings but no victims or damage to structures was located.

No one has been arrested or identified as a shooter but Johnson said about an hour before the incident at Livermore Downs Park, they received a report of shots being heard in the area of Lorren Way, which is located in a residential neighborhood near Granada High School.

No victims or signs of structural damage were found at that location either but five shell casings were recovered.

Johnson said it's unknown if the two incidents were related.
