A helicopter crashed at a PG&E training facility in Livermore, injuring two occupants on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The Livermore Police Department confirmed the crash and said there were no fatalities, but deferred further comment to PG&E and the National Transportation Safety Board.
Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Chief Joe Testa said two occupants were taken by ambulance to an area hospital, but the chief did not have details about their conditions nor the cause of the incident.
The crash involved a contractor's Bell 407 helicopter, occurring just before 10 a.m. in PG&E-owned parking lot adjacent to training poles at PG&E's Livermore Electric Safety Academy on National Drive in Livermore, according to PG&E spokesperson Tamar Sarkissian.
Sarkissian did not elaborate on the cause of the crash. "Both occupants were transported to area hospitals. There were no reports of life-threatening injuries to the occupants nor any injuries or property damage on the ground," she said.
"The safety of our customers, communities and coworkers is PG&E’s primary responsibility," Sarkissian added.
